Two Years in Hong Kong: a Retrospective

+852 is the telephone country code of Hong Kong. A place where we have spent two of the most significant years of our lives, participating in the double degree program of Digital Media at Leuphana and Creative Media at the City University of Hong Kong. This exhibition is not just an amalgamation of the works that we have produced abroad, but a materialization of our collective memories. It is a showcase of artworks that smelt together the different perspectives and circumstances that we have encountered in Hong Kong. The City is often overwhelming and extreme, with stark contrasts ranging from rich to poor, nature to urban, freedom to suppression. And yet we are in love with the city as a seemingly endless source of inspiration and creativity and as a former, beloved home.
