“daily problem” is a short video clip with vfx animation that was created with the aid of Blender and After effects and was produced alongside a research paper about the inefficency of urban cooling in the case study of Hong Kong. It shows a side alley in Sham Shui Po Hong Kong that is being quickly being flooded, due to the exaggerated dripping of air conditioning units from the buildings. The clip is an analogy to how the majority of the global north treats the dramatic reality of the climate crisis - as a daily nusiance. Just like the constant dripping of air conditioners from above, the topic of the climate crisis appears to be dealt best with avoidance. Everybody knows about it, the government claims to address the issue, but nothing is really being done and the whole issue is being put up with, as part of the every day hassle of life.
